Haven Mentor pricing

Haven Mentor costs $25/month for Pro, $50/month for Plus, and $100/month for Max. Annual billing costs ten months' price for twelve months. You can start free without a credit card, and cancel any plan at any time. There is no free forever tier and no advertising — the subscription is the whole business model.

Start free, without a card

You can open the chat and talk to Haven immediately, with no account at all. Creating an account adds a larger one-time reflection budget — still no card, and nothing charges itself when the budget runs out. It is deliberately a sample rather than a free tier: enough to find out whether thinking out loud like this helps you, not enough to live in.

Voice works on a free account too — Phone Call Mode needs an account, not a subscription. Spoken replies just use the budget far faster than typed ones.

What a token is, in plain words

A token is a unit of usage, not a unit of money, and nothing on your card changes when you spend one. Each plan carries a weekly allowance that resets every week, and typing and talking both draw from the same pool. If you reach the weekly figure, Haven pauses until the reset — it never bills you for overage and never silently upgrades you.

Voice is the part worth understanding before you choose a tier: speech has to be generated word by word, so a spoken reply draws far more from the allowance than the same reply typed. If you expect to mostly talk rather than type, size the plan for that.

Together, and which tier opens one

Together is a shared conversation for two people. The two roles are priced differently on purpose: any Pro account can join a conversation someone invites them to, at any time. Pro can also open its own for the first 30 days, after which those conversations become read-only unless the account moves to Plus. Plus and Max open conversations with no window at all.

So the usual shape is one person on Plus opening the conversation and the other on Pro joining it — the invited person never needs the higher tier. The full walkthrough is on how Together works.

For therapists

The therapist dashboard is a separate B2B subscription at $100/month, cancel anytime. It lets a licensed therapist assign reflective tasks that clients complete in Haven between sessions, and see only what a client explicitly chooses to share. A client's private reflections are never visible to their therapist, and clients' own Haven subscriptions are separate and belong to them.

Details, and pilot access for early therapist partners, are on the therapist page.

What every plan includes

  • No ads and no ad trackers. Reflections are never sold and are not used to train AI models — how that actually works.
  • No engagement mechanics. No streaks, no badges, no notifications built to pull you back. Why we refuse them.
  • Export or delete anytime, from Settings, before or after cancelling.
  • A crisis layer that is never paywalled. Every message is screened before any reply, and crisis resources are shown to anyone — signed in, signed out, out of tokens, or unsubscribed.
  • A real person on support at support@havenmentor.com.

What you are not buying

Haven is not therapy, not a therapist, and not a crisis service, and no plan changes that. It is not billable to insurance and should not be put through an HSA or FSA. If what you need is clinical care, a licensed therapist is the better place for the money — Haven is built to sit alongside that. The honest version of this comparison is on Haven vs. therapy, and the limits we hold to are on what Haven won't do.

Common questions about pricing

How much does Haven Mentor cost?

Haven Mentor is $25/month for Pro, $50/month for Plus, and $100/month for Max. Annual billing is $250, $500 and $1000 — ten months' price for twelve months. You can start free without a credit card, and cancel any plan at any time from Settings.

Is there a free version of Haven Mentor?

There is a free way to start, but not a permanent free tier. You can try the chat immediately without an account, and creating an account adds a one-time reflection budget — no credit card, no trial countdown, and nothing charges automatically when it runs out. It is a sample, not a plan.

What is a Haven token?

A token is a unit of usage, not money. Every plan includes a weekly allowance that resets each week, and both typing and voice draw from the same pool. Voice uses far more of it than text, because speech has to be generated. You are never charged extra for going over — the allowance simply pauses until the weekly reset.

Which plan should I choose?

Pro suits regular, ongoing reflection and is the right default for most people. Plus doubles the weekly allowance and removes the 30-day window on opening Together conversations. Max is for heavy daily use and long voice sessions — it is the only tier where the allowance grows faster than the price, at 5× Pro's usage for 4× its price.

Do I need a paid plan to use voice?

No. Phone Call Mode works on any account, including the free one — voice needs an account, not a subscription. What a paid plan buys is room to use it: spoken replies draw much more heavily on the weekly allowance than typed ones, so the free budget covers only a couple of spoken replies.

Can I cancel Haven Mentor at any time?

Yes. Cancel from Settings in a couple of clicks, with no retention call and no cancellation fee. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, then stops. You can export or delete your reflections at any point, before or after cancelling.

Is Haven Mentor covered by insurance or HSA/FSA?

No. Haven Mentor is a personal reflection tool, not therapy and not a medical service, so it is not billable to insurance and should not be submitted to an HSA or FSA. If you want clinical care, a licensed therapist is the right spend — Haven is built to sit alongside that, not to replace it.
